Gabriola Players is offering a two-day Directing Workshop at the end of January.

Gabriola’s own Garry Davey will introduce participants to the challenges – and joys – of bringing a play to life on stage.

Recently retired as Artistic Director of TheatreOne, Garry’s directing experience includes the world premiere of Tamarack by Edward Kuhn, Wrong for Each Other by Norm Foster, The Drawer Boy by Michael Healey and Shirley Valentine by Willy Russell (all for TheatreOne), and independent productions of Marion Bridge by Daniel McIvor, and The Occupation of Heather Rose by Wendy Lill.

Saturday, January 31 (10am-4:30pm) and Sunday, February 1 (1-5pm).
Rollo Centre
Fee: $45 for members, $60 for non-members
