Gabriola Players is a registered charity managed by a Board consisting of up to ten Directors. The Board is responsible for managing all of the Players’ activities, including the budgeting, staffing, and logistics of staging several plays each year. There are currently vacancies on the Board, which can be filled temporarily by appointment until the next Annual General Meeting in September, when appointees are confirmed by the membership.
Directors normally serve for a year and are elected or re-elected at our annual general meeting in September. The roles of President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary are selected from among the Directors. In addition, there are several established portfolios, including Membership, Communications and Artistic Director, but Directors may also serve without portfolio.
