Gabriola Players’ production of John Patrick Shanley’s hit play Psychopathia Sexualis was a huge success with Gabriola audiences. There were large, appreciative crowds at all performances. Sellouts on Friday and Saturday were a gratifying indication of the play’s popularity, and the peals of laughter that met many of the scenes showed that folks were definitely “getting” it. But this play also had its serious moments, with lots of psychological insights as the characters struggled with issues of love, friendship, and neurosis. Cast and crew enjoyed presenting this fine play, and audiences loved it. Next up: a readers’ theatre in September. Don’t miss it!
