The game’s afoot and the tickets are live! Get yours HERE to watch your friends and neighbours in Gabriola’s beloved pantomime, December 3 to 6, 2026.
The story
When the dashingly daft Canadian heir Sir Henry Basketcase arrives in London to claim his inheritance, it falls to the famous and brilliant Sherlock Holmes and his bumbling sidekick Doctor Watson to unravel a web of dastardly plans.
Packed with classic panto ingredients — a memorable dame, a hero to applaud, a star-crossed romance to cheer on, and a villain the whole house will love to boo — this is a show that delivers everything our audience expects, wrapped in one of the most beloved stories in British culture.
Ticket pricing
Due to rising costs for everything from facility rentals to costumes, Gabriola Players has had to increase its adult ticket price to $25. This is the first price increase in over 5 years, and we have reluctantly accepted its necessity.
As a community theatre group, we want to encourage family and youth participation, so we have created a new category. Tickets for all patrons aged 18 years and under will be by donation. We don’t want ticket prices to prevent the attendance of young people so our ticket page allows you to reserve a ticket and donate whatever you can to help us keep community theatre alive.
See you (and your young friends and relatives!) at the panto!
