Gabriola Players is saddened by the news that Dennis Johnston has passed away.
Dennis was active with us for many years, serving as our treasurer, as well as directing plays and writing one – Lemon Yellow Laces.
The play, adapted from a story by his wife Sharon McInnes, was first performed at the Gabriola Players One-Act Play Festival in 2015 and later that year entered into the Vancouver Island One-Act Play Festival, where Dennis received an award for Best Original Script.
Our deepest condolences to Sharon and to Dennis’s children at the loss of this truly lovely man.
